McGregor was an undefeated fighter in the UFC. Sadly, McGrefor lost to Diaz in the 2nd round, due to submission. During the first round, McGregor looked very comfortable, landing punches and kicks that made Diaz bleed. The second round got even more intense, as both fighters were already tired, and with Diaz having a bloody face, it looked like Conor McGregor was going to win. McGregor tried taking down Nate Diaz, but failed, which gave Nate Diaz an advantage and quickly locked McGregor in a rear naked choke. McGregor eventually submitted, and earned his first loss in his UFC career.

McGregor said a statement after the fight, it stated, "I’m humble in victory and in defeat. I respect Nate. It is what it is. I’ll face it like a man."
